One day after church I was scarfing down a peanut butter sandwich before going in to put Ezra down for a nap. Naturally, he wanted a bite and I figured it was okay if he have some now that he is one. He had a bite or two and then crawled around while I finished. I noticed that he was rapidly coughing and sneezing, which was a bit odd, but I didn't think too much of it. While I was nursing him before he slept I noticed that his stomach was kind of gurgling and bouncing about. He fell asleep and something told me to keep holding him. I sent my mom a text explaining the weird feeling I had, and almost immediately after putting the phone down, I was covered in a slimy, white throw up. I immediately knew, he was allergic to peanuts. Tieba had his doubt "because it doesn't run in either of our families"(Levi is allergic also...). I made an appointment with the allergist, and sure enough the test proved that he is indeed allergic. Thankfully, it is safe for him to have tree nuts. We now carry really fancy epi pens with us wherever we go, Ezra is deathly afraid of doctors, and I eat peanut butter whenever I have the opportunity to! Fingers crossed he will grow out of this.
