University Book Store

At least two times a month we do a date swap with the Buehlers. It is truly the best invention I have a patent on. We don't have to pay for (or burden someone with) babysitting, the boys are happy together, and we get much needed date time.  Because we don't have very much time (usually 1.5 to 2 hours) T and I usually just go to the Mill Creek Town Center.  Most often we go to Blazing Onion, which is unexplainable because it really isn't that good, the service isn't great, and it is over priced.  The one guarantee is that our dates end at the University Book Store.  We always get Ez a marked down board book and Tieba enjoys strolling the self help aisle.

We never do anything out of the ordinary, but I look forward to our swaps each week.

Sleep Country

We were way overdue for a new bed.  When we got married T insisted that we use his bed (which he inherited from a roommate- that was given it from his parents) because it was bigger than mine.  Not only had this bed had more owners than I would prefer... it spent time hanging out in a grimy garage for several months.  I think I was allergic to the mattress.  There was a permanent indent on T's side. The sheets on his side wouldn't stay on. Tieba's back was killing him. I could, but won't, go on.

So one random morning Tieba decided that we were going to buy a new bed. Kelly offered to watch Ez, and off we went to Sleep Country USA.  We tried out nearly every bed in the store.  They all felt good to me, it was the pillow that I knew I needed to have.  We settled on a mattress, left satisfied, and anxious for our delivery.
Or at least I thought we were satisfied.  The next weekend, T went back and exchanged our box spring for an adjustable base.  I was originally quite annoyed because of the increased cost and how incredibly unnecessary it was. I quickly got over it and began enjoying our 30 minute massage and inclined feet and back for hulu watching and ibook reading.
Unfortunately, we didn't consider our neighbors in this new purchase... One evening while watching Scandal we heard a bunch of banging.  After a while, we realized that our downstairs neighbor was crashing into her ceiling with a broom.  It then dawned on me that the vibrating bed had to have sounded like a full blown earthquake for her.  I was mortified.
The next afternoon when she got home from work I knocked on her door and apologized.  Apparently pictures were falling off of her walls and her ceiling was shaking.  DUH.  I felt horrible.  She accepted my apology. And we have another reason that we are ready to move into a house!

Photo Dump // November

That shoe tree goes everywhere with Ezra.  He has a thing for odd objects, and this is with out a doubt one of his favorites.
It felt so good to put that helmet in my bag and know that I would never have to clean it or get whacked in the face with it again!
Ezra spends most of his time in the kitchen- play or pretend.
We went to dinner and an Improv show with K & B it was fun to be able to talk with out our distractions. Ben participated in an act about his family, it was hilarious!
I love watching Ezra roam around independently. He loves to yank the clothes out of his drawers.
I can never get enough of those buns.
Em introduced us to a new sushi spot in the Mill Creek Town Center. We love it.
Whether it is because he never stops moving or he still insists that I hold him for way too many of his naps... I'm realizing that this guy has his eyes closed for quite a few pics!

Unplug

Emily, Netflix, Hulu, Parks and Rec, Hart of Dixie, and Scandal are 100% to blame for the fact that I am so behind on my blog, and I get in bed just as soon as Ezra and my messy condo allow.
That combined with the fact that we got a new bed that we are able to maneuver into the perfect position for TV watching, is truly a recipe for laziness and television trances.
I'm turning off the TV this week.  That means no Hulu in bed.  No doing laundry, just so I have an excuse to watch my Bravo DVR while Ez naps.  I'm unplugging.
