My party animal still doesn't quite have a sleep routine. Thankfully, I have learned to just go with the flow and not stress over it. Unfortunately, his unpredictability makes it difficult to plan anything!

Once a week I tutor for a first grader in Mill Creek. Her mom watches Ezra while we read together. It usually works out that he wakes up from a nap an hour or so before we leave and I feed him just before heading out the door. One day last week Ezra went down for a nap when he is usually waking up. 20 minutes before we needed to leave I decided to pump and he could just have a bottle once we arrived at tutoring. Of course, mid pump he decided to wake up. With only 10 minutes until go time, I figured I could feed him until we needed to get out the door and bring the bottle in case he got fussy. When I unlatched him he screamed so hard you would have thought he was being bit by snakes. I figured he would calm down and I tried to put him in his car seat. Naturally, he only got more mad, and in haste I decided to give him the bottle while I was strapping him in. He immediately grabbed it and was as happy as could be. One thing led to the next and he fed himself on our car ride.
Mr. Independent couldn't be happier to be in complete control of his milk. I admittedly was a little sad. Sometimes I want to freeze time and keep him a baby forever!
